Sorry for not writing something for a long time. breaking again my promise to write soon. Anyways I always believe its better late then never.

I would like to write something about my independence day

This was no different Independence day then previous ones. I woke up late as it was holiday, not bothered to see Independence day parade on TV or participate in any flag hosting. I did watched some movies on YouTube and other online movie sites. I am one among the Indians who always keep saying they love India, they proud to be Indian but when it come to do something for country there won’t be much more then thinking and dreaming of doing good to country. Yes, I really appreciate all the ideas which do good for country.  For example the Times of India “Teach India” initiative , I really appreciates the idea but not have the courage enough to sign up as volunteer for it and continue the good work. Maybe I fear of waking up early on Saturday mornings and going and teaching kids. I even started giving good excuses to myself for the same for example.

1. I am not having a vehicle of my own, will I be able to go to school every weekend to teach the kids.

2. As I am already a volunteer of Aashayein Foundation, is it really necessary to be part of another programme instead of taking part in the same NGO, anyways purpose is the same.

3. I don’t know Kannada, how i will be able to teach the kids.

I feel I will be satisfied with any of the above excuse and won’t do anything much on the same. As I am one among the several who daily wake up thinking they will do something for them, for society, for country and sleep saying I cant do anything to improve the conditions.

I hope the day will come when the people like me will wake up and start doing something which will change there world, something to uplift Society, Something for the country. That will be the real Independence Day and a real tribute to the country.
