Posted by: ashishbatra on: November 29, 2008

This post is for all the peoples who are like me who love Bangalore, or those who don’t love Bangalore or may be who don’t know if they love or don’t love Bangalore, also for those who don’t know Bangalore and all others who exists. I would like to dedicate this post for all Bangaloreans for their spirit.

I know Beauty can’t be expressed in words, but yet many writers tried to do in there writings, many Poets tried to do in their poems. I am also trying the same, Maybe I can give you a feeling of Bangalore.

For those my friends who don’t know about Bangalore I would like to tell.

“Bangalore or Bengaluru is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the Deccan Plateau in the south-eastern part of Karnataka, The official language of Bangalore is Kannada..Bangalore is India’s third most populous city and fifth-most populous urban agglomeration.”

Bangalore is famous for three things Pubs, Dogs and Software Engineers. Although none of them are related. But that’s not what Bangalore is all about, Its lot more than that. Bangalore is the city where you can find people from various regions, various languages and religions. The Bangalore welcomes all with open heart. The real metro city representing India.

Bangalore is a land of opportunities, the city of hopes. Engineers come here for the hope of good job. Students come here to some of the best colleges in India.

I am staying here for past two years when I came after getting a job in Bangalore. What I will say about Bangalore is “Bangalore is not a place.. It is a Spirit..”  A endless and limitless spirit…. A spirit of being free, being independent, A spirit of playing the game of life fully. But still of being traditional, being cultured, being responsible and being what you are.

Its is the beauty of Bangalore it go along with people of various cultures, various tradition. Its the beauty of Bangalore  Nobody got offended, nobody got hurt because they are not having the same culture.

Its not only all that beautiful kind of things here. There are peoples who come here and crib Bangalore.  Also the people are no less who take their examples and play with the sentiments of peoples. There are people who don’t want to see a happy and beautiful Bangalore, also those who destroy the beauty of bangalore for there own benefit.

This is the time of give answers to all the peoples who don’t want to see a beautiful Bangalore. With my post I call all the peoples who love Bangalore to come forward and preserve the beauty of Bangalore, keep the spirit alive and make it more beautiful.

Why to fight on name of Religion?

Posted by: ashishbatra on: October 12, 2008

When we born we were not having any religion. We were looking all same as other human babies. Even we were not had those religious cloths or get up which represent us today as Hindu, Muslim or Sikh etc. We were not speaking any language. There was no pattern defined by God that we can learn only Hindi, English, Tamil or Marathi etc.

We were the same and nothing was wrong. We never hated other babies because they were of other religion or language. We never hated them because we were not racist. We all born without any religion, its the society made us Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Cristian or Jain etc. No one taught us secularism, we were born secular but we never realized it.

We always covered ourselves and with name of religion and become a Muslims or Hindu, but that not what we really are, We are just another human being. When it was not enough for us to take a name of religion we started giving a religion to God. When started saying our god is real God. When all religious books said there is only one God. We start suspecting them.

All religion says love God. We look more religious is to show our love for God. We started fighting on the name of religion to show more love for religion. We start killing people who were made by God if they destroy temple or mosque created by us. We love our creation more then creation of God that is our love for God.

We always covered our faults on the name of religion. We used the religion for our selfish motives and let others use the same. Now its the time to realize who we really are. We are not religion we are human being like other human being created by God.

So think above our previous thoughts. We born secular and that’s what we really are.

Just Another Aam Aadmi who did it.

Posted by: ashishbatra on: September 24, 2008

Again a long gap between two posts. Lot of things happened during this period. My dream of getting Aashayein Foundation and Teach India together came true. I also took responsibility to teach communicative english in class two in a govt. school in Bangalore during my Saturdays. I hope can make some difference. Also I written a new Hindi Kavita a week back.
Recently I also watched some movies. The one which I won’t forgot ever giving the message. “Just Another Aam Aadmi who did it.”
The common man, or the Aam Aadmi, he is the man without a face. Just one of the persons in a crowd. Working to make a living, and just trying to survive.  Be it getting stuck in rains or  bomb blasts. Traffic Jams or Power cuts, he just has to get along with life. Commentators call it the spirit of the common man. For him its just a matter of survival. But what happens when the common man, can no longer take things lying down? What if he is fed up with the misrule and corruption, the chaos around him, and decides to take things in his own hands?
I hope you would have understood, I am talking about movie “A Wednesday”. The movie shows the power, anger, aggression of the Aam Aadmi. Here I won’t say what he (A aam aadmi) did Right or Wrong. I am not the only one to decide. But movie, gives a very beautiful message in last, the one thats shows us the limit of our thinking “Aam Aadmi has no name, no religion he is just a Aam Aadmi”. The message shows us the selfish person, the racist sitting inside us, no matter how much we would like to show us secular. The moment the name have been asked from the Aam Aadmi, most of the ears stood up so they can know whether he is Hindu or Muslim, most of our thoughts were limited he would have lost his near ones so he showed his anger. Anyways thats not one’s mistake thats natural in the environvent we grown up, the things we have seen, the experience we got from world.
Only you need to accept you are a racist and your thinking is wrong. If you know then why can’t you change it, only you can nobody else can do it.  Just give it a thought You need this, I need this, A common man need this. Your thinking makes your personality and reflect it. We need to throw the selfish person, the racist out from ourselves, our personality. Then only the world can be a better place to live.
It seems to be a lecture or a good reading to kill time.  But just give  thought on what you read.

Independence Day

Posted by: ashishbatra on: August 16, 2008

Dear All,

Sorry for not writing something for a long time. breaking again my promise to write soon. Anyways I always believe its better late then never.

I would like to write something about my independence day

This was no different Independence day then previous ones. I woke up late as it was holiday, not bothered to see Independence day parade on TV or participate in any flag hosting. I did watched some movies on YouTube and other online movie sites. I am one among the Indians who always keep saying they love India, they proud to be Indian but when it come to do something for country there won’t be much more then thinking and dreaming of doing good to country. Yes, I really appreciate all the ideas which do good for country.  For example the Times of India “Teach India” initiative , I really appreciates the idea but not have the courage enough to sign up as volunteer for it and continue the good work. Maybe I fear of waking up early on Saturday mornings and going and teaching kids. I even started giving good excuses to myself for the same for example.

1. I am not having a vehicle of my own, will I be able to go to school every weekend to teach the kids.

2. As I am already a volunteer of Aashayein Foundation, is it really necessary to be part of another programme instead of taking part in the same NGO, anyways purpose is the same.

3. I don’t know Kannada, how i will be able to teach the kids.

I feel I will be satisfied with any of the above excuse and won’t do anything much on the same. As I am one among the several who daily wake up thinking they will do something for them, for society, for country and sleep saying I cant do anything to improve the conditions.

I hope the day will come when the people like me will wake up and start doing something which will change there world, something to uplift Society, Something for the country. That will be the real Independence Day and a real tribute to the country.
